Reserve your own private shopping experience after-hours at The Open Book!

Get your Christmas shopping all done at once while shopping secondhand and supporting your small local bookstore! 🎁📚 The Open Book specialises in like-new and near-new secondhand books, as well as collectible editions, which make us the perfect choice for budget-friendly gifting this holiday season.

Your personal shopping experience includes:

• Exclusive access to browse and shop the bookstore after-hours - you and your shopping buddies will be the only customers in store

• Custom recommendations and suggestions from a bookseller with 15 years of experience working with books

• Complimentary gift wrapping for 2 gifts, then $2 for each additional gift wrapping

• A free cold beverage while you browse!

Bookings are $30 for a time slot of 1 hour, and you can bring as many people as you wish along to the store during your time slot. The $30 booking fee can be redeemed towards books you purchase on the night. If you have book subjects, genres, or authors in mind that you would like to look at, let us know in the booking notes so we can prepare some selections for you in advance.

Please note that your booking is restricted to the times specified in order to account for booking slots before and afterwards.

There is just one booking available per time slot, so be sure to get in quick! If the available dates don’t work for you, send us a message at info@theopenbook.co.nz to inquire about further booking times.

Cancellations:

If you are unable to attend your booking, we can refund your booking fee but you must let us know about the cancellation at least 3 hours in advance. If we are not given enough notice, the booking fee will not be refunded.
